15 Unbelievable Muscle Cars

Stancing is usually not the modification of choice to display on a muscle car, but these stanced muscle cars look plain badass!

To a car culture noob, a stanced muscle car, American or not may look all wrong. And if you don’t know what they do, they can seem pretty comical. Like a car on its last legs as they show in cartoons, exhausted, with all its tires splayed out. But a stanced car is a technological marvel. Not only does it ride on a majorly lowered suspension that may look like it scrapes the road when you take it out for a spin, but it also rides on large wheels, stretched tires, and negative camber. The latter refers to slanted wheels, with the top of the wheel inclined towards the inside of the car. The opposite of this is a positive camber, where the bottom of the wheel in slanted towards the inside and the top just out of the fenders.

Any car from the 1970s to now can be stanced and slammed (which is a lowered car, but not a lowrider). Why do people do this to their cars? Well, because why not? So, here go 15 Unbelievable Muscle Cars we could find…

15-A Hoodless Pontiac Trans-Am

15-A Hoodless Pontiac Trans-Am

Not only has this magnificent ‘70s Pontiac TransAm been widened and stanced with a beautiful body kit, but even the hood has also been taken off to show off its performance prowess. The car rides pretty low, even for an air suspension, and we love the negative camber on this white beauty.

14-A Gorgeous Ford Mustang

14-A Gorgeous Ford Mustang

The Mustang looks very different in a stanced avatar and the hood scoop makes it look pretty fierce. This one rides on air suspension too, otherwise, it would end up scraping its chassis off on the road. The negative cambering is subtle but visible enough for a second glance.

13-The Unmistakable Muscle Of A Dodge Challenger

13-The Unmistakable Muscle Of A Dodge Challenger

While the Dodge Charger bears an iconic grille, the utter girth of the Challenger has always had us hooked, especially when someone does this to it. Subtly lowered and very gently stanced, this matte black Challenger looks amazing, and we’d love to get our hands on one of these.

12-A Slammed Plymouth Roadrunner

12-A Slammed Plymouth Roadrunner

The Roadrunner was a no holds barred muscle car and came so stripped that even the carpet was optional. So yes, it was nothing but pure performance, and someone has made it even more about performance, by stancing the back tires and lowering this car to near impossible ground status. It looks good but surely runs even better.

11-A Brand New Dodge Charger, Slammed

11-A Brand New Dodge Charger, Slammed

Most people stance or slam old cars, classic muscle cars maybe, but shy away from doing it to a new muscle car. Not this gentleman here, who took a shiny new Dodge Charger, slammed it to the ground and stanced the wheels with a gentle but unmistakable negative camber. We love to see this beauty take on a high-speed corner.

10-A Stanced Shelby Cobra? Aww!

10-A Stanced Shelby Cobra? Aww!

While we are not sure if this is a real Shelby Cobra or simply a remake of the same, it does look adorable in its stanced form. The thing is, a Shelby Cobra is so small and dainty, people forget the utter power it packs, so stancing it may be a way of reminding people of its mind-blowing capability.

9-A Classic Camaro, Reimagined

The Chevrolet Camaro, while not as popular in sales as the Ford Mustang, has always been a prized muscle car. To have a 1970’s Camaro stanced and slammed makes it look like an utter beauty. Just look at that twilight blue paint, those negative cambered front tires along with a front valance, and that ZL1 engine (badging)…

8-Here’s A New Gen Camaro, For Comparison

So while this muscly Camaro is not a classic and has none of that old beauty working for it, it is still undeniably, awesomely stanced. There’s just a bit of widebody work done on this one to make it look even more aggressive, and the red paint as well as the racing stripes, come together to form a beautiful picture.

7-The Most Wonderful Hemi ‘Cuda Ever

7-The Most Wonderful Hemi ‘Cuda Ever

Here’s a Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda so beautiful, it is making us teary-eyed with joy and green-eyed with jealousy, at the same time. Turned into a widebody and slammed to a millimeter off the ground, with the slightest of negative cambers on it; just look at that glossy brown patina. This one is a work of art.

6-A Stanced Muscle Hemi Coronet

A gentle sedan, the Dodge Coronet turned into a beast when fitted with the same Hemi that turned the Barracuda into the ‘Cuda, and made it into a sleek sleeper no one could catch up to. In a beautifully stanced avatar, this Dodge Hemi Coronet R/T, with a gently rusted patina, looks oh-so-ready to chew and spit out the road.

5-A Cherry Red Shelby Cobra, Stanced

Here’s another gem of a stanced Shelby Cobra, and looks ravishing in red. The cambering on this one is pretty intense, and the car has also been lowered to what should be completely against the rules of physics. But we are pretty sure the experts have done a great job with this expensive little beauty.

4-A Stanced, Widebody Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang is a fairly mean beast on the road, so having it turned into a widebody and stanced car makes it look pretty invincible. The little red and yellow lighting accents look pretty cool and it looks very capable in its matte black paint, with a modified hood and grille.

3-A Beautiful Plymouth Barracuda In Red

The Barracuda was always a beautiful car, and it looks even better slammed so close to the ground. There is no negative camber here but the Barracuda looks ravishing in red with the distinctive yellow stripes on it. Even today, a classic like this would have all eyes on it as it runs down the road.

2-The Black As Night Dodge Challenger

2-The Black As Night Dodge Challenger

While a Pontiac Trans-Am may have been K.I.T.T. in the Knight Rider series, this is what we call a night rider. It looks like a stealth car that would disappear at the witching hour. A gentle widebody work to fit in the broader tires, subtle negative cambering, and lots of glistening black paint make it unforgettable.

1-A Glistening Dodge Charger SRT8

1-A Glistening Dodge Charger SRT8

Let’s end the list with one of the craziest muscle cars of recent times, a Dodge Charger SRT8 that looks absolutely amazing with that brown-tinted paint and gold rim, carrying a beautiful negative camber as well. Lowered on air suspension, this must make for an exhilarating ride while getting tons of eyeballs.
